Let me first congratulate

the Aflaaq stars

for the initiative and effort to organize

their very first event.

In conjunction with

the Prophet’s (P.B.U.H) birthday,

Aflaaq stars organized

Meelathun Nabi Celebration

on 19^th May 2008

at Masjid Sultan Annex Auditorium.


The event was graced
by approximately 600 people
from all over the island.



Commemorative
magazines
were given to everyone
who attended the function.

The Moulud started off at 2pm

with recitation by Hafeezia Moulud group,

which later rendered

6 beautiful nasheeds

to the delight of the audience.

Later on,

the welcome speech was addressed

by Mr.Yunos.

What followed next was a tea break,

provided by our sponsors

which not only filled the public’s appetite

but also their heart

as they were provided

with the wonderful opportunity

to mingle and bond

with the fellow friends and relatives.

The members of Aflaaq stars were there

to acknowledge the audience

with a dazzling smile.

The much anticipated speech

by Imam Hafiz M.S.Abdul Haiyum Baagavi

from Bencoolen Mosque

was delivered after the organizing group

had honored the VIPs on stage.

The topic for the day

revolved around community service

which suited the occasion

and the objectives of

the Aflaaq stars.

As they say,

all good things have to come to an end;



Mr. O.N. Sahul Hameed

ended the fruitful Meelathun celebration

with a heartfelt thank you speech

and a request to the audience

for their valuable

support and suggestions.

At about 7 pm,

the day was wrapped up

with the Tabruk distribution

and compliments from most of the spectators

which ensured their anticipation for the upcoming events.

Undoubtedly, it was not easy organizing this day.

Planning started months ago

and a lot of hurdles had to be crossed over.

But nevertheless,

with everyone from the working committee

and the sponsors as well

who contributed their time and efforts,

this event, turned out to be a smashing success.

Over all,

the occasion proved to be fruitful

and thanks to Allah,

all those who came

benefited in one way or another.

A lot of follow up calls

and smses

poured in the following day

to congratulate the team

for delivering the community

such a splendid event.

The victory of this

Meelathun Nabi

celebration

will not only signal

the organizers commitment to a good cause,

but also provide the opportunities

and set the stage for

Aflaaq Stars

to

Grow and Glow.

Assalamu Alaikum,

It is our pleasure to be associated
with the AFLAAQ Stars

and the organizing committee members

who should be complimented for their perseverance

and valuable contributions

which has been

the foundation for the formation

of

the Aflaaq Stars.

We had the wonderful

opportunity of working

with a group of public spirited individuals

who share the passion of building

a strong rapport amongst the society

through various activities.

The measure of a person’s worth

can be demonstrated

by the kindness of giving many little things

and not necessarily by engaging

in great sacrifices.

In regard to this,

We’d like to express
